Good work out for the Bs in their first fixture of the season against a team two divisions higher. Adam and Myles made their debuts and the Bs were without six players but still fielded a strong team. The Bs had to make a couple of changes to the defence though with Jordan and Shomari in unfamiliar roles at full back.
Pinner dominated the first half and created several good chances. They managed just one goal thanks to a superb display by Stephen who made umpteen brilliant saves. In the second half the Bs switched to 3-5-2 with Russ joining Joe and Jay in defence. The Bs played better this half, had more of the ball and created several decent chances. Adam struck an early equaliser with a well struck shot. It looked like the game would end 1-1 when the Bs gifted Pinner a goal after a mix up at the back. But Conor came up trumps with another equaliser slamming a low shot home following a corner.
Apologies to Stephen as I forgot to give out the man of the match trophy at the end. But he was the clear winner for an outstanding performance that kept the Bs in the game and which was recognised by everyone watching. Added to his brilliant reaction saves his distribution was excellent.
