The Bs played St. Josephs B in a friendly held at Headstone Manor. It got off to a fabulous start within the first five minutes with an early goal from Sid which put a lot of confidence to the team and they shortly capitalised on their earlier efforts when Sid scored another to go in at half time 2-0 up. Particular noticeable efforts from George, Sid and Daniel in the first half.
We made some substitutions just before the end of the first half bringing Kyle on for Francis.
In the second half St. Josephs came back at Headstone although there were a number of very good chances by both teams. Early on Sid hit the post having been put through by Jordan. St. Josephs managed to pull a goal back following a very good shot from just within the box over the head of Steve the goalkeeper. We made a number of substitutions bringing on Thomas who had a particularly effective game once he arrived on the field and Oliver also and the team managed to maintain the tempo in order to hold on to our lead and win 2-1.
Man of the match went to Daniel who had a particularly tidy game, defended well, got his tackles in and didn’t make any mistake or take any risk when required to clear the ball.
