Headstone produced their best display of the whole season to beat fourth placed Greenford Celtic convincingly. This was the B team's best win in the league and all the players should feel proud of what they achieved. Although it was goalless at half time, Headstone had created enough good chances to take the lead. But in the second half they took their chances and might have had more than the four they scored.

All over the field there were excellent performances from the Headstone boys. Jordan Wright had a superb game in goal and has been getting better with every match. He produced half a dozen brave and outstanding saves to deny Greenford Celtic and kept Headstone in the game in the first half. Daniel also had one of his best displays in defence and Greenford struggled to get past him. In midfield Conor was everywhere, winning the ball and using it well to create chances and Thomas was very strong and topped his display with an excellent goal, his first of the season.

The first half was fairly even. Headstone started with Rory up front and he went close with a couple of shots. Greenford also had some good chances including a deep cross that hit the outside of the post. But Jordan Wright was equal to all the shots on goal and commanded his area. Kushal came on up front midway through the half and had a great chance to open the scoring. From a Greenford corner Headstone cleared the ball and Kushal was clean through with only the keeper to beat. Kushal used his strength to keep the ball and produced a powerful shot that went just over the bar.

In the second half Rory came on for Warren in midfield. Headstone's passing improved which enabled them to create more chances. They had a perfect start with an early goal by Thomas. Four minutes into the half Headstone broke down the right. The ball came out to Thomas standing just outside the area and his first time shot gave the keeper no chance. Rory and Conor had further chances to add to the lead but it was Kushal who got a well deserved goal in the 37th minute. He made a fine run down the left side of the area and his shot was too strong for the keeper.

Brett then came on up front in place of Kushal and within a minute he scored. For the first time this season Headstone were able to relax and they had plenty of possession in the Greenford half. Their passing and movement was very good. The Headstone defence still had work to do though but Jordan, Russell and Daniel were equal to it with strong tackles and good saves. In midfield Rory made some good runs down the right and he added the fourth goal with four minutes remaining.

All the players deserved the man of the match award but Thomas got it for a great performance in midfield capped by his excellent goal.
