Headstone got back to winning ways with a fine 4-2 win over Wasps though with the chances they created they might easily have scored six. Russell was the star in front of goal scoring all four goals but it was a great performance by the whole team that secured the points.

Headstone started the game positively passing the ball well and Russell and Jordan had early chances. Joe made his first appearance for the B team playing in midfield alongside Jordan and Thomas. Jordan played really well and got forward to support and set up Russell who managed to get beyond the Wasps' defence several times. Kushal, Nathan, Thomas and Joe used the ball well to create chances and Russell was very unlucky midway through the half when his shot came back off the post.

Headstone opened the scoring after 13 minutes. Jordan was tripped in the area and Russell converted the penalty with a powerful shot into the corner. Headstone had other chances to add to the score but just couldn't find the target. Then, for a period in the first half, Headstone struggled to clear the ball from their half and allowed Wasps' attackers into their area unmarked. Against a better attack they might have been punished but they went in with a 1-0 lead at half time.

Ciaran replaced Nathan in defence and George replaced Thomas in midfield at the start of the second half. But a minute into the half Wasps equalised after a mix up in the Headstone defence gave their striker an open goal. A minute later Headstone were back in front. Joe put Russell through with a fine pass from midfield and Russell raced through to score. Three minutes later Wasps equalised again. The ball went loose in the area and as Headstone failed to clear Wasps' striker shot passed Jordan Wright into the corner. Shortly after Jordan Wright bravely charged off his line to deny Wasps a shot on goal.

Thomas came on again in place of Joe and he, Jordan, Russell and George had good chances to score. In the 40th minute Russell claimed his hatrick after he was put clean through by Jordan and then in the last minute he scored his fourth after a fine move involving Thomas and Jordan found Russell unmarked yet again. Jordan Coleman was man of the match for his best performance for the team in which he set up three of the goals.
